How Do I Edit Notification Settings?

In your SmartRent App, you are able to customize your notifications settings. You can be alerted about the following items:

  • Guest Code Home Access: get notified when a Guest Code is used to access your home
  • Maintenance Home Access: get notified when a maintenance member accesses your home 
  • System Alerts: get notified through system alerts notifications (such as an alert sent by a sensor when a leak is detected)
  • Security Alerts: you can receive alerts when Self-Monitoring Security is enabled (requires activation by the community)
  • Ring Alerts: get notified when someone rings your Ring doorbell (requires a Ring doorbell to be integrated with your SmartRent Account)
  • Ring Motion Alerts: get notified when your Ring device senses motion (requires a Ring camera device to be integrated with your SmartRent Account)
  • Ring Low Battery Alert: get notified when your Ring device has a low battery (requires a Ring device to be integrated with your SmartRent Account)
  • Service Request Created: get notified when a Service Request is created
  • Service Request Closed: get notified when a Service Request is closed
  • Service Request Comment Created: get notified when a comment is added to a Service Request
  • Service Request Reopened: get notified when a Service Request is reopened
  • New Message: get notified when a new Community Broadcast is sent

Notification Settings:

In order to customize your notification settings in your SmartRent App, follow these steps:

  1. Tap your Account Avatar in the top right corner
  2. Tap Account Settings
  3. Scroll to Notifications and toggle on or off the notifications you wish to receive

Tap the back arrow in the top left-hand corner to save changes
