With Siri Shortcuts, you can run a Scene in the SmartRent Mobile App using Siri voice commands. These voice commands can be customized to your preference.
Creating a Siri Shortcut for Running a Scene:
To create Siri Shortcuts for Scenes, follow these steps:
- Create a Scene in the SmartRent Mobile App
- Learn how to create a Scene with our How Do I Create, Edit, and Delete a Scene in the App? Article
- Run a Scene in the SmartRent app
- This allows iOS to detect the potential shortcut
- Open the app icon named Shortcuts
- Tap + in the upper right-hand corner
- Tap + Add Action
- Search for your SmartRent Mobile App in the search bar
- Tap the SmartRent Mobile App
- Tap on the Shortcut you want (i.e. Welcome Home)
- Tap Next
- Name your Shortcut
- Tap Done
- On the home screen of your Shortcut app, you will see your newly created Shortcut
For security purposes, we do NOT allow voice commands to unlock a door.
