How Do I Create, Edit, and Delete a Scene in the SmartRent Mobile App?

Scenes allow you to adjust the settings of multiple devices with one simple tap. For example, you may want to create a Scene that turns off a lamp, changes the thermostat temperature, and locks your door.

Creating a Scene:

To create a Scene in the SmartRent App, follow these steps:

1. Tap the Smart Home tab in the bottom menu
2. Tap Automations in the top menu next to Devices
3. Tap the + in the bottom right-hand corner
4. Select Scene
5. Enter a name for the Scene and tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
6. Select an icon and tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
7. Select a color and tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
8. Select a device to add to the Scene
9. Select what device action to take when the Scene is activated (i.e., Unlocking the door)
10. Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
11. Add any additional devices to the Scene 
12. Review the Scene and tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner to save

Editing and Deleting a Scene:

1. Tap the Smart Home tab in the bottom menu
2. Tap Automations in the top menu next to Devices
3. Tap the Scene you want to edit or delete
4. To edit a Scene, tap on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the Scene  
   • Make desired changes
   • Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
5. To delete the Scene, tap Delete this Scene at the bottom of the screen  
   • Tap Confirm
