Here are some general tips for making sure your Amazon Alexa devices are properly working and controlling your smart home devices.
- Make sure your Alexa device is connected to your wifi
- When you ask Alexa to control a device and her response is "you have multiple devices that are named XXX....." this means that in your device list on the Alexa app, multiple devices share the exact same name. In order to fix this, open the Alexa app and click on "Smart Home", which will bring up your devices. Scroll through the list and make sure each device has a unique name.
