In order for your codes to be successfully deleted, added or changed, your hub must be plugged in AND online. If you decide that you would like to change your front door entry code, you can do so by following these simple steps:
How to Change Your Access Code:
1. Tap on Access in the bottom menu of your SmartRent app
2. Tap My Access
4. Tap Get a New Code
Once you Reset your code, a new code will be randomly generated for you automatically, and your previous code will be removed from the lock.
If your code fails to reset, your previous code will show when you tap on My Code and you will see a notification saying Update Failed.
Note: You will NOT be able to add, change, or delete one of your Access Codes if:
- You don't have access to the app
- If the hub is offline (or is not connected to your internet)
- If the lock is offline
