NOTE: SmartRent Community WiFi is not available in all communities. Speak to your community manager about enabling this feature.
Community WiFi is a service offered by your property management team that provides internet access regardless of where you are in your community.
To change the password for your personal network there are two ways to do this
VIA THE SMARTRENT APP
- Log in to the SmartRent app. If you don’t have a SmartRent Account yet, follow these steps.
- Tap “More”
- Tap “Community WiFI”
- Tap the pencil icon (next to the network password) to edit the password.
- Enter new password into the “New Password” field. Then enter the new password again in the “Confirm Password” field.
- Note: Some communities will have an additional “Security Key” field. These values are preset and cannot be changed. You will not need the security key number to add other devices to the WiFi network.
- Password Requirements: Passwords must be 8 or more characters, have at least 1 uppercase character, at least 1 lowercase character, and 1 special character.
- Tap “Save”.
VIA THE SMARTRENT WEB PORTAL (no app required)
- Visit https://control.smartrent.com/login.
- Enter the email address associated with your lease.
- Create a password for your SmartRent account.
- Verify your email address.
- Log into your account.
- Once logged in, view the WiFi network name and your unique password. If desired, update the
WiFi password. Note: The network name cannot be changed. In your device’s WiFi settings, locate the network and enter your password. - Password Requirements: Passwords must be 8 or more characters, have at least 1 uppercase character, at least 1 lowercase character, and 1 special character.
